OLLIE & LIVINGSTON ACADEMY'S CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION
On September 26th, Ollie the Otter will be at Livingston Academy High School to help celebrate 100 years of high school graduates. Alumni and the community are encouraged to bring their families and children out to share in the fun. Ollie will have a booth set up to teach children about the importance of wearing their seatbelt and being in a booster seat until they are 4’9” tall. Joining Ollie will be Carol Coleman, the original inspiration behind the Ollie the Otter program and current Livingston resident.
The celebration begins at 10 a.m., and other activities include arts and crafts booths around Winningham Park, live music at the Rotary Amphitheatre, a dunking booth, food vendors and individual class activities around Livingston Academy. Other children’s activities include the Bouncing Bubble.
We encourage everyone in the area to come out and support Ollie and all of the Livingston Academy alumni during this fun and joyous celebration. Volunteers to help speak to parents and children and to hand out information about the Tennessee booster seat law are greatly appreciated. It is guaranteed to be an exciting event. Educating parents and children on the importance of using their seatbelt and putting children less than 4’9” in a booster seat is always a rewarding experience for everyone involved!
